Peter Arnell, Fontainebleau Brand Chief, Celebrates a Successful Six Months
The Fontainebleau Miami opened its doors in 1954, and is still hailed as one of the most iconic hotels in the country. 70 years later, the Fontainebleau Las Vegas celebrated its six-month anniversary after its grand opening in December 2023. As part of the launch, Peter Arnell, Chief Brand and Design Officer for Fontainebleau Development, coordinated simultaneous parties at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas and in Times Square on New Years Eve.
Reviewers of the Fontainebleau Las Vegas lauded Peter Arnell for his design concept and innovation. Arnell’s bold decision to build the property up instead of outward not only makes it the tallest building on the Strip, but ensures that guests of the 67-story hotel have a short walk from their room to the elevator, and to any area of the property.
From the initial stages, Peter Arnell played a central role in the Fontainebleau Las Vegan design. According to Brett Mufson, Fontainebleau Development President: “Peter…brings an exceptional dedication and expertise that truly sets him apart. He’s been pivotal in sculpting the brand and design experience to deliver a resort unlike any other.” Arnell, a notable brand authority and designer, was also instrumental in redefining the Fontainebleau’s brand identity for the hotel’s 70th anniversary on New Years Eve. The Las Vegas property hosted a Post Malone performance, which Peter Arnell coordinated to be simulcast on screens in Times Square. He wove together the historical significance of the Fontainebleau brand with its contemporary relevance, attracting a cross-generational audience.
The hotel’s renown continues with their recent announcement that they will host the inaugural PPA Tour Las Vegas Pickleball Cup. This will be the first ever professional pickleball championship on the Vegas Strip, at the end of August 2024.
