New Green Condos Coming to Gowanus
For those of you looking for a place to live in Gowanus, opportunity has knocked. Warren Lewis Realty has just launched preview sales at Jade 8 at 186 Eighth St. in Gowanus, which is a new green condo complex in Gowanus which will officially open in January. The eight units are described by the company as “eco-chic and modern” and are in a four-story building.
Units to Accommodate Everyone
There are there types of units. These include two-bedroom simplexes that include private balconies, one-bedroom garden duplexes and three-bedroom penthouse duplexes with both balconies and private decks. As Aroza Sanjana, the president of Warren Lewis, said,
“We are delighted to introduce Jade 8 to the Gowanus neighborhood, admired for its dynamic urban transformation and convenient access to Manhattan.”
Green Perks
The owners of these condos should enjoy lower energy bills with the state-of-the-art green construction techniques that designers Sears-Tambasco Architects used. Other green components to the spaces include LED lighting, energy-efficient Loewen windows, sound insulation for the floors, Caeser stone kitchen countertops, HRV, low-VOC paint and others.
The building will also have a green roof that is being planted at the moment. As Virginia Hunter, the vice president and associate broker at Warren Lewis Realty explained,
“Residents will enjoy [the] vibrant selection of galleries and restaurants and the classic urban feel of a factory-filled neighborhood reclaimed by entrepreneurs and artists.”
Now that sounds like a place to live fit for a Gowanus resident.
