Pratt Institute of Art Building State of the Art Facility

Pratt Institute’s Brooklyn campus is embarking on an ambition building project to create a cutting edge building which will unite its Master of Fine Arts and Photography programs. Chosen to

design the facility is the famous architecture firm Allied Works.

The new building will not only provide the much-needed space for the school’s students, faculty and guest artists, but will also be a center to engage with the local community and the exciting New York arts world. The goal is to broaden and deepen the role of Pratt Institute as a cultural hub in the heart of Brooklyn and its thriving arts community. The building will be designed with beautiful spaces for exhibitions, and a state-of-the-art auditorium/theater for public programing. Engaging the community will enhance the school’s ability to deeper the creative endeavor and stimulate the community’s discussion related to the art world.

Pratt’s President Frances Bronet discussed the choice of Allied Works to design the new building:
