Climbing Festival for All

If you’re into adventure or you just like watching other people and their adventurous spirits – you’ll want to be in Brooklyn this weekend. The North Face is bringing its Climb Festival to New York City for the first time ever, setting up at Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5 on August 23-24. This is going to be a free, two-day event offering climbing enthusiasts the ultimate challenge with a 55-foot wall surrounded by deep water to catch any falls.

In addition, the festival will feature paraclimbing competitions, panel discussions on climbing culture and community-building, and live performances by Renegade. Visitors can also enjoy guest bouldering walls from Movement Gyms, an artist installation by Snoeman, and DJ sets by Las Flaquitas, Eden, Toribio, and Cosmo. Special guests include The North Face athlete Alex Honnold and climbing legend Chris Sharma, who will announce the festival winner. Other notable climbers attending include Brooke Raboutou, Nathaniel Coleman, and Margo Hayes. Local food trucks and exclusive merchandise will also be available.
