Justin Bieber Publishes Memoirs
Well, let’s talk a bit about Justin Bieber. There are only two reasons I can think of that someone might not have heard of Bieber; either they have no children or grandchildren over the age of 8, or they have no children or grandchildren under the age of 45. I guess not owning a computer is another possibility, but come on, let’s be realistic here. Just in case, I’ll just say that he is a kind of a pre-teen heart-throb singer who got very, very, VERY lucky. Approaching almost one BILLION visits on YouTube, the Bieber is a phenomenon that has given new meaning to the word ‘viral.’
Guess what? Justin has decided to step out into the real world, of sorts, with a real book, presumably for kids, called, “Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever: My Story.” Designated as an ‘illustrated memoir’ by the publisher HarperCollins, this is the story of a 16 year-old boy who has reached stardom using the very 21st century internet communications technology which us old folks are still adjusting to. If the kids actually read any of the words that are squeezed somewhere in between the photos in this book, then I guess the book has served a worthwhile purpose for the betterment of society. Oh, but don’t expect your kids to learn spelling or grammar from Bieber’s ‘memoir”™ since much of the ‘content’ is actual, ‘as-is’ reproductions of ‘Tweets’ from Bieber’s Twitter page, which sadly does not have a spell-check function.
