Mermaids in March in Manhattan

On March 24 the Mermaids of Coney Island will be hosting its annual fund raising event in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the iconic Coney Island Mermaid Parade. The gala will be held at Webster Hall in Manhattan from 7pm until 11pm, and the parade which it is honoring will take place on June 23, in Coney Island, of course.

The fundraiser will feature some of the highlights from the parade itself, including the Coney Island Circus Sideshow cast who will perform. Celebrants there can except to be enthralled by fire dancers, aerialists, a laser show, and even burlesque dancers. Also joining the fun will be the stars, the Mermaids and Mermen, one of the main attractions of the parade itself.

All the money that will be raised at the Spring Gala will go directly to supporting innovative arts in Coney Island, including: Sideshows by the Seashore, the Coney Island Museum, Burlesque at the Beach, the Coney Island Film Festival and of course the Mermaid Parade.

Webster Hall is located at 125 East 11th Street. Tickets range in price from $250 for VIP down to $60 for general admission.
